Example - Buying Shares

After purchasing 1100 Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG) shares on 8 June 2004, you received the following confirmation note from your broker.

Your MIG shares can be entered into My Portfolio Frontier in a few simple steps:

1. Click on Buy.
2. Type the letters of the share code or select the company name from the drop down list or search for the share code using part of the company name.
3. Enter the purchase date.
4. Enter the number of shares purchased.
5. Enter the price per share.
6. Enter the brokerage fee. The GST amount will be calculated automatically.
7. Click record.
