4. Sell Shares

On 1 June 2004 you decide to reduce your exposure to Coles Myer and sell 100 of your shares. You receive a sell confirmation note from your broker informing you that 100 shares were sold for $9.60 each and you were charged $50 for brokerage.

You enter this transaction into My Portfolio Frontier using the Sell form.

My Portfolio Frontier recognises that you are not selling all of your Coles Myer shares and allows you to select parcels to optimise your tax situation. You can choose different parcel selection algorithms and My Portfolio Frontier will automatically select which parcels to sell.
